I guess im not completely sure why this is but I assume it is to gain allies. Also, i guess they were dependent on each other for consumer goods and raw goods. So if the U.S. gives aid, then Latin American countries can prosper and help us in return.
The US was extremely paranoid about the spread of communism, so the feeling was that if financial or other means of aid were given to Latin American countries, their economies would not fall to communism. I think the US also had some selfish motives, wanting to be involved with the Latin American market for their goods and money.
I think that there are a few reasons why the United States gave aid to Latin America. I think one was because the spread of communism, and the United States was afraid of the rapid spread. I also think they wanted to gain an ally. I also think that the United States thought about themselves and wanted to be involved with the Latin American market, so they could get the goods they couldn't get from the U.S.
The United States reason for providing aid for Latin American countries was to have access to their resources so they can start businesses such as the United Fruit company. The US also wanted to make sure Latin America didn't fall to communism.
The US provided aid to Latin American countries so that their poor economies won't be susceptible to communism. Also, it supported repressive regimes and gave military aid to harsh rulers just to prevent the spread of communism.
Why else would we provide aid to Latin American countries besides the fact that we did not want communism to take over the world? If we became friends with these countries, maybe we could prevent this rise in communism across the globe.
i think the US gave aid to latin america because they did not want communism to spread or be susceptible to communism i also think the US wanted to become allies with latin america. i think it was a good idea and hope they do become allies.
The goal of the Unites States trying to provide financial aid for Latin America was to make allies not enemies with them. Also, if we were allies with them we would have more access to their natural resources. Last, we had a fear of the spread of communism and we did not want it to take over.
There was a common goal and fear throughout the United States government during that time. Communism in a way was like terrorism back then and the government made sure they did anything they could to stop it from becoming more worldwide. South America was and still is today a major source of natural resources that our economies depended on. South America was a key ground for power and influence throughout the world and the US made sure they could keep it on their side.
After WW II, the paranoia the U.S. felt towards communism was ever present. They worried constantly that communism would appear again, and affect us again, which led to some less than smart ideas from the U.S. They believed that if they gave money to Latin American to keep the country economically balanced, they would feel no need to lean towards the idea of communism.
The goal of the united states to latin america with aid was to prevent communism in latin america and also to have a better realtioship with the foreign countries and also have more access to the raw materials.
they provided aid to other countries because they wanted to get more allies and they thought that if they give money to other countries that then they wont fall to comunism......
To be honest, I'm not quite sure. Probably because the US tried to use the Latin American market for their goods and money. Or maybe because they were making sure their economy would not fall, since their country was very poor.
the united states basically wanted to gain allies against communism after all of the tensions that the cold war brought. that, and it let them take advantage of their industries and businesses.
